What do we have?
FiveThirtyEight focusing on data
Vox (old wonkblog) focusing on being wonky? and informing the public?
The Upshot (NYT) focused on mixing data with more traditional reporting and high quality (irreplaceable) NYT graphics. They hired Josh Barro which is awesome (though sadly I cannot rely on him for opinions anymore then).
Something at the Washington Post with backgrounders?
Do all of these ventures succeed? Whats the endgame here? How much space is there between Vox and The Upshot?
