23 and Me

I’ve said little on this issue, because I see valid points on both sides.

That said, the issue here is not human fear.  It’s unnecessary mastectomies provoked by variant (and ill-understood) forms of BRCA.  Fear, based on poor understanding of statistics by the inummerate, is a problem, but is it actionable by the FDA?  Rather, it’s unnecessary medical treatments that a doctor (perhaps nudged by a worried patient, or not) would prescribe, causing irreparable harm.
